How do i say that Frida Kahlo invented the “im a hoe too” movement before Amber Rose did, don't boo me yet, now hear me out. Word on the historical streets that Frida painted this portrait after she separated from her man Diego Rivera, she fell into a sad winter depression and most of her paintings later became dark and very personal. Don't you hate it when u meet a stranger n they start telling u all their business within 2 minutes, like, girl back up. Obvs, the woman didn't have twitter to go on and rant abt how her n-word aint shit, or a homegirl that could prank call him 2 see if he was gona pick up and sadly not a club to shake her nyash to vybz kartel music.
What she did tho was introduce the public to what a bad bitch that have found herself again look like, a baddie that manspreads, no make up cz her skincare routine probably 10/10, dress all slutty showing skin n shit, heart all healed, no bum gon stress her out right side Frida acting all different now, love that 4 her. Right side Frida look like she knows TGIF word by word, she look like she been listening to some sexyy red, I don't know mane, like the guy married her when she was 22 and he was 43. Those are the years to be young, hot and lit, hence why she had a hoe phase and sneaky links during her marriage, i will get back 2 that dw.
Frida painted two versions herself, the left Frida is how she saw herself during her marriage with Diego, the traditional perfect wife, elegant, nicely presented on the outside, but most importantly if we talking woman 2 a woman her heart shows this is a look of a girl drained by a n-word. As much as i want this painting to be deep, maybe Frida just wanted to paint her evil twin, “shit we did i never tell twin 😋🤞🏻” type shit, and this is all over speculation. The wounded heart, the blood, and the hand holding, tells me her bum ass ex caused this distress. After all he cheated on her with her own sister, idk how many billions in the world we was back then but regardless out of all the billions he chose her sister, that can really scar a bitch.
Frida is carrying lots of pain, she probably mad at herself for giving an ugly man a chance n then he started treating her like she the ugly one, raise ur hand if u have ever been in a situation. Mane, I want better for left side Frida but this self portrait could be about reconnection, acceptance, embracement and revolution within the squad (evil twin shit). This is an ok painting. I heard a small girl watched her in awe paint this in 1939. That young girl was so inspired and motivated by Frida’s artistry she carefully learned from Frida, the girl grew up and became big herself, that girl is now Demi Lovato.
For Frida and Diego LGBT stood for Lets Get Bitches Together. They had this relationship where they could hook up with other people, which is funny cuz everytime partners agree to have such a relationship one is happy and the other one is crying themself to sleep. The two Fridas can be interpreted that shit got too far, Diego had no issue with her having relationships with women but lost his mind when she was with men, like a typical straight man would. Their relationship was intense, passionate and painful, hence the scissors left side Frida is holding, maybe this was her way of showing she let go of the life she was living with Diego after their divorce.
Frida was anti a lot of things but she was never anti-catch a nut, she went on to live her best soft life being with artists, hollywood stars and other big brains people. She took pride in her work, her love affairs and her strong non gender conformity, watch ur boo, Frida be waking up real early 2 be a lover… Imagine the shock she would get if somebody came up to her today and asked her if she was a soft masc, a dom fem or a no label switch, that would forever change her bond with art and the trajectory of her life.
Regardless, I think 2 ME that piece is just meh, I did not connect with it as much as she expected me to. Simply because this got too much going on, it is making me think too hard about the meaning, or the fact that it could have multiple meanings to it, like girl just give me the answer to it already like. It is too realistic if u get me, very human-like figures, everything is too HD. If she painted Frida looking like an upside down horse with spider legs, also Frida's face(s) on it and the scissors were so low pixelated u would think it is a dildo??? cmon naw that is some good shit, it shows the artist has imagination beyond what the eyes can see. If i was there in 1939 and saw this i would instantly think my fucking god these bitches gay! Good for them, good for them.
Frida herself 2 ME is just a lady nothing special abt her, I am reminded of her once existence everytime i rewatch Coco other than that she is just a fog. I don't know if she is on the cancel list, or if she has done some weird shit i beg dont RARARA to me take it w ur God, I don't even know the woman like that. Just wanted to write abt how she's such a LGBT city girl, that's all my brain cells could provide. yh it takes talent to be able to paint like that, u telling me u lived in the same timeline as Billie Holiday and not once did she think of painting herself and Billie blazing it up dfkm.
